Biography

Dr. Kimberlee A. Johnson is an educator, activist, advocate, preacher. She has 23 years experience in higher education, decades of experience in criminal justice advocacy, prison ministry, youth advocacy, and is a clergy leader with 30+ years in urban ministry. She is a full time faculty member at Eastern University where she also directs the Prison Education Program (@EUprisoned) and directs the new Center for Community Engagement. She volunteers with local organizations such as Decarcerate PA and the Philadelphia Bail Fund. Dr. J. is also co-editor of the Journal for Urban Mission, and is the Founder/Overseer/President of a nonprofit religious organization, The Fellowship of Women Clergy. She has served the community in numerous capacities over the years and has touched people of all ages, walks of life, and in various cross cultural contexts in the United States and abroad. Oh, and she’s an avid urban gardener!
