Biography

Jodie Boyer Hatlem is a Mennonite Pastor and Adjunct Professor at North Park Theological Seminary. She has a PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto and an M.Div. from Duke Divinity. Her academic work focuses on the history of Christian responses to mental illness and mental incapacity, most especially in her dissertation entitled Sin and Insanity in Nineteenth-Century North America. She lives in Waterloo, Ontario in Canada with her husband, three children, and dog.
