A Christmas Message from Tony

December 23, 2021

“And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

– Luke 2:10-11

Dear [fname],

On that most important night when the angels arrived in Bethlehem to announce the “good news of great joy,” they didn’t stop first at the town seat, nor at the homes of the influential and powerful. They came to the weary and waiting shepherds.

Perhaps you, too, feel the weariness of waiting. And yet, just as the shepherds lifted their eyes upward to the song of the angels, we are invited to turn ours to the living hope of our Savior. Hope doesn’t shy away from declaring the way things are, but it also looks ahead to the promise of great joy.

This Christmas season, as we celebrate our Lord’s birth, I want to encourage you to remember that Christ has come… for all people… including you.

God bless you and your loved ones.

Merry Christmas!

Tony Campolo

P.S. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to read this encouraging letter from Robert Gauthier and prayerfully consider a gift now in support of the Campolo Scholars for the year ahead.
